WHO WE WORK WITH
SEVENTH ROOT REGULARLY WORKS WITH SCHOOLS & COLLEGES
We have specially designed a number of different types of workshops that can be provided to empower our youth. Our workshops are an excellent way for young people and vulnerable adults to explore their creativity, raise awareness for their community group, challenge stereotypes and develop their skills for the future. Our working methods are very flexible so that our workshops fit in easily with school timetables. We also have considerable experience
working with young people with behavioral difficulties.
Seventh root workshops are a brilliant way to infuse media and creativity into learning programs at primary schools. We have experience designing workshops for children from Key Stages 2 & 3 that are simple, fun, hands-on, and craft-based. We train with easy-to-use cameras and editing software so that children can engage in all aspects of the filmmaking process.
Seventh root workshops are perfect for secondary schools to enhance students’ film and media literacy. Our workshops tie into several subjects, especially Environment, Citizenship, History, Media, Drama, and Art. Drama students respond well to Script to Screen workshops. And learn creative writing and performance skills. Art students enjoy our animation workshops which inspire them to use their drawing, model making, and craft skills in a different way.
COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES
Community Groups & NGO’s
Each year Seventh root outreaches to approximately 600 people bringing our workshops to groups/NGO’s that rarely have the opportunity to experience filmmaking. Our workshops are an excellent way for young people and vulnerable adults to explore their creativity, raise awareness for their community groups/NGO’s, challenge stereotypes, and develop their skills for the future.
